Question by marybuko: What makes Japanese cuisine the best cuisine in the world?
I was watching Martha Stewart’s show off her website, and she did a show called Food Around The World. There was a Q&A segment from the audience, and someone asked her which world food/cooking influenced her the most. Martha said it wasn’t so much the influence, but she loves eating Japanese food. She said whether it’s cooked, raw, or semi-cooked, Japanese food is the best cuisine in the world. Is Martha right?
Best answer:
Japanese food is delicious, although very different from Western food. They don’t really use herbs/ spices in the same way as the emphasis is on the natural fresh taste and texture of the food. Food in supermarkets is dated and even timed to ensure it’s freshness.
What do you think? Answer below!

Assuming she was being truthful, she was absolutely right– for her.
Its all a matter of opinion. Japanese food tends to be fresher and it has less sauces and flavorings blocking the taste of the actual food, so if you’re into that, yep its the best food in the world. A lot of it is also extremely healthy.
In her opinion it is. Everyone has their own opinions. I LOVE Japanese food too but there are other foods I love just as much.
It is fresh! Fresh meals have the best flavour.
Q: What makes Japanese cuisine the best cuisine in the world?
Answer: An opinion.
NO, she is not right… It may be as good as other world cuisines but not the best. I think each cuisine has it’s special something. She should of said it was HER best cuisine of choice.
